The Qin Taproom visitor listing records beer check-ins in September 2026 and identifies 52 Xiangzimiao Street — 湘子庙街52号. The listing is not operator verified. Use it to locate and contact the business, then confirm the entrance and today’s service rather than assuming every detail is current.
Recent check-ins name both Qin Craft Beer and a guest brewer. That is a good reason to ask which taps represent the local brewery and which come from elsewhere. For a first visit, compare a Qin beer in a familiar style with a second beer chosen by the bartender to match your preferences.
If you are walking around the South Gate area, establish the venue’s opening before finishing dinner. An address near the historic center is convenient only if it connects to your actual route; the wall gate, a lane entrance and your hotel’s vehicle pickup point may be different places.
Fever and 勿幕: brewing leads to verify
A July 2024 first-hand brewery visit identifies Fever around Baojixiang — 保吉巷 and 勿幕 around Xiaonanmen — 小南门. The video explicitly described 勿幕 as undergoing renovation at the time. That makes it unsuitable as proof that you can turn up there now.
For Fever, search the brewery name with 西安 保吉巷 and ask whether the current premises receive visitors or only supply beer. For 勿幕, request the current taproom address rather than navigating to the old renovation location. If either cannot be confirmed, choose Qin or another bar with a current menu close to your hotel.
Those checks also prevent a common mix-up: finding a brewery’s packaged beer in a shop does not mean the production site offers a walk-in experience. If a brewery tour is your goal, arrange it with the operator separately from the evening beer stop.
What should you order with a Xi’an dinner?
After noodles, roujiamo or a larger meal, choose the serving size as carefully as the style. A clean lager or pale ale can make an accessible start; enthusiasts may prefer an IPA or a more unusual fermentation. Ask for a flavor description rather than guessing from an unfamiliar Chinese beer name.
Tell the bartender whether you dislike sharp acidity, sweetness or strong bitterness. A recommendation becomes more useful when you give those preferences. Ask which beers are locally brewed and whether any use ingredients associated with Shaanxi, without assuming a regional-sounding name proves the beer was made in Xi’an.

How would I plan one Xi’an beer evening?
I would spend the early evening around the southern old city, have dinner, and visit one confirmed taproom. Qin’s listed Xiangzimiao address is a starting point for that plan. If a specialist brewer has confirmed a different venue, I would revise dinner around it rather than keep both routes.
Finish the wall walk before drinking and check any attraction access separately. A beer bar beside the old city does not establish nighttime access to the wall itself. Save the hotel’s Chinese address and a practical street-level pickup point, especially if you are staying inside a pedestrian lane.
What should you check before the first pour?
Read the brewer, style, alcohol strength, serving volume and price together. Ask whether smaller paid pours are available if you want to compare several beers. A cider may share the tap list but is not beer, and an imported beer does not become a Xi’an brew because it is served in a local bar.
For cocktail rooms, use Xi’an bars. Compare Beijing beer or return to the nightlife collection when choosing the next city’s evening.
