An April 22, 2026 bar comparison describes 灰烬 as a Dali Old Town stop with a wide gin selection and drinks made to taste. A second April visitor report describes counter seating, conversation and a non-smoking experience during that visit.

Those observations make Ashes the strongest repeated local lead in this sample. Ask whether the current setup still matches that description, especially if smoke-free seating is essential. When ordering without a fixed menu, state a base spirit, preferred sweetness and price ceiling. 2. Mushroom: an unusual flavor direction

The April comparison also describes Mushroom / 蘑菇屋, with mushroom-inspired mixed drinks. This is an exploratory option for someone curious about savory flavors. Ask what ingredients are in the current drink and whether that style is right for you; a themed menu is not a guarantee of personal preference.

3. Jasmine: another Old Town cocktail lead

Jasmine / 茉莉 appears in the same visitor account, which describes aromatic drinks and places the three venues within a nearby cluster. Confirm the current pin and availability before treating them as a walking route. Its closing time and any queue mentioned in that older visit are not current guarantees.

4. Secret Space: make the architecture a separate outing

Two posts, from February 2026 and April 2026, describe 穹顶回廊 / Secret Space as a converted-factory setting used for photography and an evening bar atmosphere. It belongs on a different kind of shortlist: choose it because the space interests you, not because a social photo proves the cocktail program is exceptional.

Request the current address, operating hours and whether there is a ticket, drink minimum or separate event that day. Plan the return transport before going. A daytime photo visit and a bar reservation may have different rules; the sample does not establish that either is always available. Do not turn this into a casual final stop after an Old Town evening without checking the distance.

5. Hilton Lobby Lounge: a hotel option in the Gantong area

Hilton Dali Resort & Spa lists the Lobby Lounge for tea and snacks during the day, with cocktails and small bites in the evening. This gives travelers an alternative when they want a hotel contact and a clearly named venue rather than an unconfirmed independent-bar pin.

The hotel’s Chinese venue page gives south of Gantong Road, Qili Bridge — 七里桥感通路以南, and +86 872 668 8888. Confirm opening, access for non-residents and menu prices directly. Treat it as a Qili Bridge/Gantong-area outing, separate from an Old Town walking route, and arrange the ride back to your accommodation.

Which Dali area makes sense for your evening?

“Dali” covers more than one convenient evening area. Dali Old Town, the urban area around Xiaguan and accommodation elsewhere around Erhai are different bases. Start with the Chinese address of your hotel, then compare it with the bar’s current pin. A venue tagged “Dali” is not necessarily near an Old Town gate or your lakeside room.

For an Old Town evening, have dinner, choose one confirmed cocktail bar, and keep a second as a flexible nearby option. For a design outing, make Secret Space its own plan with a return ride. For a Gantong-area stay, compare the Hilton lounge before crossing town for a cocktail. Avoid choosing an expensive transfer only because a room looks appealing in a short video.
